Not that anyone knows him, and I have not met him except through pictures, but one of our 'chosen' little PMU colts, "Mike" was killed during a freak thunderstorm accident last week. I will probably worry about my guys now every time it storms here or there. Just keep them all in your prayers!

hey im starting english b/c i want khadin broke english and western and he likes jumping hes a natural he litterally SOARS so i thought ill give that a try. anyone have any jumping tips they could give me

Last night was a flurry of activity. In the span of three and a half hours I managed to go to the post office, get gas, do groceries [being clever and getting ALL and only heavy things ...ugh] ride Dakota, ride Indy AND ride Mo!

This weekend was a good weekend for me and Mo. Saturday was really good fun and Sunday we went to a show.

We have reserved a minimal number of foals for this year. I am taking the chance of offering 3 for sale BEFORE they are in my hands. All are draft crosses or North American Spotted Draft Horses and beautiful. I have pictures of all, if you are seriously interested, I need info and deposits asap. I will even start their groundwork with them for the first month after they arrive.

Well, I was half right-half wrong about the Handy Hunter/Jumper Show at my barn. We had an Eq. Course, a Handy Hunter Course, and a Jumper Course.
My Eq Course- We won! It was a pretty simple course, only involving a few turns.
My Handy Hunter Course- We got second place. It was hard! It involved halting and trotting a jump. It also had some complicated turns

My dream has come true and Kosmos of Starry Knight is home in NC. He's a wonderful Friesian gelding and I have hopes and dreams galore for us. He's young (5) and beautiful and I know it's going to be the most fun I'll ever have owning him. He's very quick to join up and he's already following me around. For a week he'll be at my friend Gayle's so that Chris can get her gelding pens ready.

okay so a couple of days ago I was at my friends christinas with my other friends jennifer. she called her mom for something i cant remember.

Last nights adventures proved... enlightening. I actually found the edge of my confidence, and got to go over the edge, out of my comfort zone and GROW! How cool is that!? What miraculous feat did I attempt that pushed me so much, you ask? Nothing terribly miraculous, but I'll tell you the story if you wish...

I know I haven't been on as much as I would have liked to be but this summer has been busy with Mounted Patrol happenings and other personal things to boot.

My prowress as a Weather Goddess was proven once again last night. All day I dreamt of playing and riding Mo. I havent ridden a lot lately due to either weather hitches or animal emergencies. Yesterday the clouds rolled inexorably closer all afternoon.... until around 2:30 they burst into a cascade of water from the sky. Everything from drizzle to downright sideways rain was pouring from the sky.

Someone stole my black and silver show saddle set and my hubbys roper saddle. The weird part is they didn't steal the complete barrel saddle set for my son, the tools, etc. I think this was a vindictive thing because they also took most all the bridles.

Even though it was last week... me and cobie got third place in our first hunter jumping show! I was so proud of him! It was in the 2' 12 & under class. Then after the show i thought of taking a long break from jumping maybe do some trail riding and barrelracing, taking it easy.

FINALLY, the detail crew has us back up and running. I've been busy as I know you all have been since we last got a chance to catch up with each other. I went to the Equine Extravaganza in Raleigh, NC last weekend and had a wonderful time. I was helping my friend Lisa with her Friesian booth. Pitreke the beautiful mare was the breed example and she WOWED everyone who saw her.

So i woke up today to my mom knocking on the door saying we might have a boarder. Im pretty excited, i know this horse from when i was younger and hes a great horse but had some problems with manners. According to his owner he would like for me train and look after his horse, only problem is...this horse has nothing.

Long time, eh? I just got on the computer (the first in like, 6 weeks.) and remembered
that HJ was back!! Yay!

I am doing well, livin' up here on my familys land. MJ is doing good, though he has some
cuts on his feet, I'm working on those, so in the mean time I cant ride him. :( but other
than that, he is awesome!
So, how is everyone??

Lets see last time I left a journal, my black mare Gabby had a possibility of being put to sleep (that is still there, but she is doing fine for now), I was homeless as were the horses and my kids..now for the update.

I just found out that at the Jumper Show, I am not doing jumpers. Oh well, I am doing Handy Hunters! My pony is really bred to be a hunter pony so we will probably do better, even though he can go fast for jumpers. But we would be competing against bigger horses so we might have not really had a chance. But I am still really excited about tomorrow!
